This is one of five series created in collaboration with members of Mount Albert Grammar School's Symphony Orchestra. This series was inspired by the works of Roy DeCarava, whose "poetics of darkness" chronicled the lives of New York jazz luminaries and his Harlem neighbourhood through a sympathetic and evocative lens.
